CreAgri, Inc., Hayward, CA, has reported that Hidrox®, its patented raw material formulation of hydroxytyrosol, has been self-affirmed GRAS (generally recognized as safe). GRAS status opens the doors for Hidrox to be used in food, functional foods and beverages. The independent evaluation was performed by the Burdock Group, Vero Beach, FL.
